Border-crossing

Border Crossings are not suggested in general because there is a chance that you may not be allowed to cross the border at the very last minute due to changing circumstances or concerns about the political situation in the border region (of either Myanmar or the adjacent country), even with an organized package tour and when we have prepared and applied for a travel permit in advance. Sometimes we just can’t predict, or guarantee, the conditions in these border areas.

The Most popular Myanmar Border crossing points are:

• Mu Se (Myanmar) - Jaegao/ Ruili (China)

• Tachileik (Myanmar) - Mae Sai (Thailand)

• Kawthaung (Myanmar) - Ranong (Thailand)

If you want to visit Myanmar, you should contact us in at least one month in advance so that we have time to organize the necessary permits and paperwork for your travels.

If you exit Myanmar, you will need another permit to cross the border from your next destination country (For example; if you go India, you need to secure two Indian entry permits as RAP (Restrict Area Permit) and PAP (Protected Area Permit).

If you want to try a border crossing, please kindly let us know in advance and we can always try to obtain one for you.
